Access Statements...
Barclay House
is a wonderful Victorian Villa built in 1890. As
such the ground floor boasts a wide open
spaciousness that enables wheelchair access
throughout all the public areas including the bar
and restaurant although Gentlemen who struggle with
stairs do need to use the downstairs Ladies/Disabled
loo! There are no steps at all to gain entry to the
House (we smoothed those out in 2008!) and we can
reserve parking spaces right by the front door for
you! Whilst we don’t have a ground floor bedroom in
the House, we did in 2008 add a ground floor bedroom
over at Barclay Lodge – which is situated on our
driveway along with its own parking space. This room
benefits from an en-suite state of the art walk in
shower room and is suitable for all guests including
those with moderate mobility difficulties.
Our
Holiday Cottages
- please note that 7 of our cottages are only
accessible via steps - one cottage (Woodgate - a
three bedroom cottage) is accessible directly from
the cottage car park and is on the level. The
reserved parking space is right by the garden gate.
From the ground floor there are 5 steps to the
kitchen level off which there is a single en-suite
room. A further five steps lead up to the twin and
double rooms - both of which are en-suite but in
line with the unique split level design of these
wonderful cottages, there are a further 5 steps to
each of the en-suite bathrooms.
Access
to 7 of our cottages is via several steps. As such,
we do not recommend these cottages to guests who may
normally struggle with steps. Please enquire before
booking.
Redcliffe House
- is a 2 storey house accessed via several steps and
a ramp. Please enquire if you think you may struggle
with steps.
Complimentary Wifi internet connection is available
in the hotel reception and bar/ lobby to all guests.
