Here at Barclay House we have a passion for our
local economy and view our competitors as friends.
From the renowned Looe market fish used in our award
winning restaurant, to the handmade Cornish
chocolates placed on our pillows, we strive to use
the best and most local produce and suppliers.
We also offer guests arriving by rail not only a 5%
discount on their stay, but also, by prior
arrangement, a collection service from our local
rail station.
Barclay House is proud to have been awarded with an
acorn award for sustainability.
We are also delighted to have our very own vegetable
garden, which supplies our award winning kitchen
with the freshest herbs and most seasonal
vegetables, all with zero food miles!
We do our best to ensure that all realistic measures
are taken to recycle; including our heating exchange
system for our heated swimming pool, replacement of
boilers in all of our cottages and the hotel, not to
mention organic food composting and returning
bottles to our suppliers.
